Tasting - Gougenheim Torrontes

I did not pair this wine with food
Name: Gougenheim Torrontes
Variety: Torrontes
Region: La Rioja
Country: Argentina
Year: 2012
Price: $9.95

Professional Notes: The 2012 Torrontes comes from Chilecito in La Rioja. It has a light floral nose with touches of lemon peel and nectarine. The palate is crisp and taut, showing far more vivacity and fruit that the nose implied, finishing with a flourish of apricot and white peach. Drink now.

My Review: This wine was a light gold tint. I would definitely agree that this wine is vivacious. It reminds me of a CEO's new personal assistant who was just hired and wants to make a great impression, but drank too much coffee and is bouncing off the walls. Lots of energy. It filled my mouth with flavor and good mouth feel. I would recommend, but probably not buy it myself.
